Inurface Media recently had the pleasure of working with global retailer Dr Martens to install a 2m x 1.5m LED Screen with a 2.6mm Pixel Pitch for their brand new Camden Store. This install is part of a larger Dr Martens store expansion with Inurface Media being brought in to capture the attention of shoppers while giving it the wow factor.
The LED screen is installed and fully maintained by Inurface Media. Powered by a commercial media player running Scala the install hands complete content and layout control over to Dr Martens. With the media player and the LED digitizer installed in the local comms room we created a cable and equipment free area.
In addition Inurface Media installed 8 tablets running a locked down website through our Kiosk CMS which allowed for customers to browse new product releases on the Dr Martens website from within the store.
Inurface Media specialises in a start to finish solution for digital signage, covering everything from the initial consultation and installation, through to hardware and software support for years to come.
About Dr Martens
Dr. Martens’ appeal to people who have their own individual style but share a united spirit – authentic characters who stand for something. People who possess a proud sense of self- expression. People who are different.
On a stylistic level, Dr. Martens’ simple silhouettes allows their wearers to adopt the boots and shoes as part of their own individual and very distinctive style; on a practical level, their famous durability and comfort make them ideal for the unforgiving world of gigs and street fashion; and then finally on an emotional level, they are a badge of attitude and empowerment.
However, it wasn’t always this way: Dr. Martens were originally a modest work-wear boot that was even sold as a gardening shoe at one stage. So, how did this utilitarian boot transform into one of the most culturally relevant brands of the modern era? It is an interesting and unique story.
