The solution inurface media decided on was eight outdoor double sided touchscreen totems, eight double sided indoor touchscreen totems, and various internal wall mounted touch screens in the concierge area. All totems were a bespoke build with Liberty Centre controlling the look, and inurface media building to their specifications. In addition to the installation of the totems and screens, inurface media also installed all CAT6 and fiber optic cables to each location.
For the outdoor totems the housing had to allow for one side to be touch and one side to be non touch, and were IP55 rated ensuring the fluctuation in weather caused no issues. 55″ screens were placed in the housing that were rated for 3000 nits brightness, ensuring the screens could be seen day and night. The indoor totems were similiar, one side touch and the other non touch. The touchscreens ran wayfinding with custom Google maps designed specifically for the centre. The non touch side allows Liberty Centre to run promotional material powered by inurface media’s Content Management System.
