About New Look

The New Look story began in 1969 as a single fashion store in the UK. From there, they’ve grown to become a leading fast-fashion brand, with 575 stores in the UK and over 260 across Europe, China and Asia. Their transactional website now ships to around 120 countries world-wide generating 13% of sales.

New Look also have a presence in social media, over 3.0 million Facebook fans, 370,000 following us on Twitter and over 1,000,000 following us on Instagram. 4.9 million people have subscribed to email alerts.

As part of their digital journey and rebranding exercise New Look have embraced Digital Signage in a big way rolling out video walls, pillar screens and screens behind cash desks at most of their Tier one stores and a selection of tier 2 stores in the UK along with a selection of stores across Europe. The network of screens serves as an additional channel to deliver rich media content in store, working in conjunction with the other Omni channels to support marketing campaigns.

Inurface Media were approached to solve a problem, the incumbent Digital Signage platform was bloated, cumbersome to use and expensive from a cost of ownership perspective when looking at growing the estate. Ongoing support and maintenance with the incumbent provider also made it cost prohibitive to grow the estate. Being agile, cost effective and experts in digital signage solutions Inurface Media we able to migrate the entire European estate of stores across to a new digital signage platform in a matter of days. A number of new stores have been added to the digital estate as well as a large video wall in the reception of Weymouth Head office where employee communication delivers real time information to staff and high end branding for visitors.

Inurface Media have taken a new approach to the most recent stores, moving the video walls from Full HD to 4K NEC commercial panels, while simplifying the Digital Signage layout to reduce down time and allow faster fixes by the support team. Using the new hosted CMS Scala has allowed the role of content manager within New Look to be spread among a number of employees, removing the traditional problem of a single point of failure when only a single person is trained on a locally operated CMS.
