As part of Sports Direct’s expansion strategy, they envisioned new ‘concept stores’ across the UK and Europe, aiming to revolutionise retail environments. Seeking to infuse digital technological innovation and experiential elements into their physical spaces, Sports Direct turned to inurface media. To ensure the success of these concept stores, inurface media aimed to redefine the traditional retail experience and push boundaries. The Thurrock store, housing Sports Direct along with USC and Flannels, required dedicated areas for each brand. Collaborating with The One Off and Brinkworth Design, inurface media crafted unique, engaging zones for each brand. Multiple LED screens and interactive mirrors were installed to enhance customer-brand interaction, demonstrating Sports Direct’s commitment to elevating the in-store experience through digital integration.

inurface media enhanced customer engagement by installing two 55" 4K PCAP interactive touchscreen selfie and boomerang mirrors with bespoke software, featuring filters for various age groups. Four 65" interactive LED screens were placed for product exploration. Eight LED video walls in high-traffic areas promote brand content. Sports Direct's forward-thinking approach included audience measurement tools for analysing customer metrics, traffic, and engagement, aiding in tailoring future campaigns effectively.
Audio equipment was fully integrated across the store to create a full omnichannel experience.
