AV Awards 2021 

Remember remember the 5th November….and oh we will. After what seems like a lifetime the AV Awards finally returned as an in person event to celebrate what the AV industry has been up to during the past 12 months.

Over the last year, despite the challenges COVID-19 has presented us with, the team of inurface have still been working their socks off to provide dazzling digital displays across the globe. Earlier this year in July, the whole team were delighted when they found out that inurface media had been shortlisted for not one, not two but three AV Awards for our recent work with Sports Direct and Boohoo.

The three awards we were nominated for are; 

  • Corporate Project of the Year; Redesigning Corporate Spaces, inurface media X Boohoo 
  • Retail Project of the Year; Transforming Physical Spaces; inurface media X Sports Direct Oxford Street
  • Digital Signage Technology of the Year; Pioneering Large-Scale, Rotating LED Displays – inurface media

Our sister company Xi were also out in full force at this year’s AV Awards. Xi are proud to have partnered with the AV Awards for the evening to provide a unique photo booth experience.

AV Award branded, the booth was one of the highlights of the evening with guests posing the night away to create their own, personalised pieces of content. Guests were individually sent their pieces of content with many being shared across social media!

Gallery Wall Installation

Xi also installed a gallery wall to display the content from the photobooth installed for the evening of the AV Awards. The Social Wall product produces a live display of all content being created from a live event and is brandable and available in a selection of design templates, all of which can be customised to suit your displays.

As guests arrived they were welcomed on the ‘red carpet’ by the ‘paparazzi’ before heading indoors for a drinks reception and an opportunity to reunite with familiar faces or in some instances become acquainted with lots of new faces. 

Guests began to take to their seats for drinks and dinner ahead of being entertained by Russell Kane for the evening as the awards ceremony began to get underway. As the awards kicked off our team were delighted to be awarded winner for the Corporate Project of the Year for our work with Boohoo.

Our AV Win – Boohoo

Creating an omnichannel experience was essential for the Boohoo project. Boohoo wanted clever audio-visual solutions that would span throughout the buildings, whilst reflecting their brand image. Looking to create new corporate concept spaces, Boohoo enlisted inurface media to transform their new London and Manchester offices. Not only would this be a space for staff, but the building would also play host to new season launches and fashion events. 

To create a truly digitally immersive environment, inurface designed several solutions such as an impressive wave wall stretching the height of the building, over 10 street facing LED window screens, audio solutions and selfie mirrors. All solutions were fully designed, built, installed and maintained by inurface media – providing the complete end-to-end solution with a fully managed service for content control.

Though we didn’t win all three of the awards we were nominated for, we are delighted to even have been nominated for our work in the AV industry, and to have been recognised as a leader for our work in Corporate Spaces.
