inurface media nominated for 3 AV Awards

After what seems like a lifetime of virtual events, recent easing of restrictions means live, in-person events are finally back and that includes the AV Awards. The AV Awards return to London Evolution on 5 November to celebrate a year of amazing Audio-Visual installations and we’re thrilled to be finalists. We were delighted to learn last week that we have been nomiated for not 1, not 2 but 3 AV Awards…

Running for 22 years, the AV Awards come together every year to celebrate the latest Audio-Visual projects and technologies across the globe. For over 20 years, the AV Awards has grown in status and size, attracting almost 1,500 industry professionals from all over the world. It is the biggest and most prestigious night in the AV calendar, where every part of the AV world joins together to network, share successes and, of course, to party.

As a team we are absolutely delighted to have been shortlisted and recognised as finalists for 3 different awards. We always endeavour to go above and beyond for each of our clients and we’re delighted to see our teams hard work recognised. Well done to the whole team at inurface media and congratulations to all of the other finalists – good luck, and we’ll see you on the 5th November!

Check out the projects we entered into the competition below…

Transforming Physical Spaces: inurface media X Sports Direct, Oxford Street – inurface media

Earlier in 2021 we worked with Sports Direct to help the brand re-open their iconic Oxford Street store. The reopening of this store introduces a new, digitally immersive concept store to the infamous Oxford Street location.

The space has been transformed from its old traditional brick and mortar presence into an innovative, experiential hub. Spread over 4 floors the store features technology never seen before within this setting.

Occupying 50,000 sq. ft., the store will host the most LED, digital and interactive technology on Oxford Street. This store will be a true flagship venue with the aim of ensuring the space is an immersive destination and not just a store.

The digital installations inside the store are so much more than just a few screens. Totalling over 100 screens, the tech inside the store comprises solutions like interactive touch points, photo booths, experiential games and analytics.

Redesigning Corporate Spaces, inurface media X Boohoo – inurface media

Working with Boohoo, we wanted to reinvent the conventional office space into an omnichannel environment. The space would accommodate staff, as well as potentially playing host to celebrities from the fashion world as well as social media influencers and clients.

To create a truly digitally immersive environment, inurface designed several solutions such as an impressive wave wall stretching the height of the building, over 10 street facing LED window screens, audio solutions and selfie mirrors.

All solutions were fully designed, built, installed and maintained by inurface media – providing the complete end-to-end solution with a fully managed service for content control.

Pioneering Large-Scale, Rotating LED Displays – inurface media

Working on the Oxford Street Sports Direct we wanted to create a solution that had never before been seen on this scale, in this environment.

Impossible to miss, the rotating LED pillar window displays catch any shoppers eye. The LED pillars have the ability to function as 2 large-scale LED screen displays or 8 individual rotating LED pillars.

Working together the screens rotate in one fluid motion to display animations symmetrical on both sides. Content can be easily updated in real time and in line with campaigns or based on customer response.

A one of a kind in the industry and never before produced on this scale in a retail environment it is fair to say this solution is pretty spectacular and will ensure the Sports Direct store stands out on Oxford Street for years to come.
